Raw EEG recordings from participants who received tactile Braille letters (B, C, D, L, M, N, V, Z) on Braille cells under the left and right index fingers. The dataset accompanies a study on how sensory representations are transformed into perceptual Braille letter representations in the visually deprived brain. Data are provided in BrainVision format with event files describing trial onsets, stimulus types, catch trials and pedal responses.
EEG recordings from children performing letter discrimination and visual search tasks involving the mirror-image letters b and d, collected in an embodied learning for literacy study. Each participant completed a pre-intervention discrimination task, an intervention-phase visual search task, and a post-intervention discrimination task. Participants were assigned to an intervention or control group, and events mark stimulus presentation of b and d letters, including practice trials.
EEG dataset from a masked-priming-style ERP study examining neural associations between fingerspelling, printed English words, and American Sign Language signs in deaf readers. Participants viewed 300 prime-target pairs in which primes were English words, ASL signs, or fingerspelled words, followed by four-letter English word targets, while performing an animal-detection task. The data support investigation of cross-modal and cross-script priming effects in deaf readers.
A calibrated task subset of Kai J. Miller's library of human electrocorticographic (ECoG) data, comprising 111 recordings from 24 epilepsy patients with subdural electrode grids. Tasks include finger flexion, hand gestures, motor movement and imagery, and verb generation and noun reading. Data were recorded at 1 kHz and converted to BIDS in BrainVision format with source-documented amplitude calibration.
MEG dataset in which participants viewed numbers, letters, and false fonts, presented either as single items or as strings. The experiment has two runs, single-item and string presentation, with trigger codes marking each stimulus category. The dataset can be used to study visual processing of numeric versus alphabetic symbols.
NEMAR Dataset nm000104: emg2qwerty - EMG-based typing detection
This dataset contains 64-channel EEG recordings and behavioural ratings from four participants who read and evaluated 210 short English-language texts: Haiku, Senryu, and non-poetic control texts. Each text was rated on aesthetic appeal, vivid imagery, being moved, originality, and creativity. These participants' recordings were acquired in segments because of session interruptions and were concatenated during preprocessing. They are released as a companion to the main Poetry Assessment EEG Dataset 1 for completeness and transparency.
