EEG recordings from 33 participants who each completed both a visual and an auditory surprise task, with task order counterbalanced. The dataset supports investigation of electrophysiological markers of surprise-induced failures of visual and auditory awareness. Data from participants excluded at various analysis stages are included up to the stage of processing they reached.
Electroencephalography recordings from 50 participants viewing 22,248 images spanning 1,854 object concepts from the THINGS database. Images were shown in rapid serial visual presentation streams at 10 Hz while participants performed an orthogonal fixation colour change detection task. The dataset supports research on the temporal dynamics of object recognition and visual representation in the human brain.
THINGS-EEG2 is a large EEG dataset from 10 participants who viewed 16,540 training images and 200 repeatedly presented test images from the THINGS database. Images were shown in rapid serial visual presentation at 5 Hz while 63-channel EEG was recorded at 1000 Hz across four sessions per subject. The dataset supports modeling of human visual object recognition and includes resting-state recordings, the authors' preprocessed epochs, and stimulus images.
EEG dataset from a masked-priming-style ERP study examining neural associations between fingerspelling, printed English words, and American Sign Language signs in deaf readers. Participants viewed 300 prime-target pairs in which primes were English words, ASL signs, or fingerspelled words, followed by four-letter English word targets, while performing an animal-detection task. The data support investigation of cross-modal and cross-script priming effects in deaf readers.
High-density EEG (256 channels) recorded from 23 healthy right-handed volunteers in Rennes, France, during visual object naming and spelling tasks. Each participant completed two conditions with two runs each, with 74 picture stimuli per run balanced for animals/objects and long/short words. The dataset supports studies of functional brain network dynamics during language and picture-naming tasks.
Stereoelectroencephalography (sEEG) recordings from epilepsy patients at Oregon Health & Science University, collected while they were in the epilepsy monitoring unit awaiting seizures. Participants were presented with auditory and visual numerical stimuli, either symbolic (Arabic numerals and spoken numbers) or non-symbolic (dots and beeps). The dataset supports investigation of the neural representation of numerical quantity across modalities and formats.
This dataset contains EEG recordings from 7 participants performing an auditory imagery task, in which they imagined the sounds made by objects from the semantic categories of animals and tools for 5 seconds. It supports research on semantic decoding and brain-computer interfacing. Recordings were made with a 64-channel BioSemi system, with additional EOG, physiological, and respiration channels.
EEG recordings from 23 participants performing a passive viewing task with partially occluded and subsequently uncovered scenes containing game pieces on a game board. Conditions varied the number of initially visible pieces (4 or 32) and the number of pieces revealed after the occluder was removed (0 to 32). The dataset supports investigation of neural responses to object numerosity in occluded and uncovered visual scenes.
This dataset contains 64-channel EEG recorded at 1000 Hz from 31 healthy participants performing a row/column P300 speller task with 4L and 5L grid sizes. Each participant completed three sessions. It is the P300 component of a multimodal eye-BCI collection that also includes eye-tracking and high-speed video for analyzing ocular activity across BCI paradigms. Events are annotated with HED tags as Target and NonTarget flashes.
