Resting-state electrocorticography (ECoG) recordings from 13 patients with epilepsy aged 3.4 to 33.9 years, acquired with subdural grids and strips (plus depth electrodes in some participants) during intracranial monitoring in Seattle. The data were collected to study how the alpha rhythm and intrinsic neural timescales develop across childhood and adolescence. They are re-packaged in iEEG-BIDS without signal processing from the authors' public Zenodo release.

Subdural electrocorticography (ECoG) recordings from four patients with intractable epilepsy, acquired with 8x8 electrode grids over left frontal, temporal and parietal cortex during clinical monitoring. For each patient, two wakeful and two sleep-like epochs were identified from video and audio of natural behaviour, with no task. The data support work on detecting wake and sleep-like states for future ECoG brain-computer interface applications.

Stereo-EEG (intracerebral) recordings from 28 patients with refractory epilepsy during fast periodic visual stimulation, with natural object images presented at 6 Hz and faces as every fifth image (1.2 Hz) in the periodic condition, or at random positions in a non-periodic control condition. The dataset is a derivative release of the authors' Letswave files, low-pass filtered at 30 Hz and segmented into sequences, repackaged in BIDS (BrainVision) format. It supports mapping of face-selective responses in the human ventral occipito-temporal cortex.

Intraoperative subthalamic nucleus (STN) local field potential recordings from patients with Parkinson's disease undergoing deep brain stimulation implantation at Duke University Medical Center. Patients performed a self-paced balloon analogue risk task (BART) while LFPs were recorded from single microelectrodes or 32-channel microwire arrays. This derivative repackages the LFP, decimated to 200 Hz, into BIDS iEEG format with behavioural and artifact-censoring events (17 recordings from 14 patients, about 4.3 h).

Preprocessed, epoched local field potentials from the ventral lateral thalamus of 11 essential tremor patients undergoing awake deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. Recordings were made from mapping-electrode macro rings or the implanted DBS lead while patients read aloud consonant-vowel-consonant words and nonwords. This derivative repackages the authors' Dryad release (non-re-referenced trials) into BIDS iEEG format, with trial tables and MNI electrode coordinates.

Stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) recordings from four adults with drug-resistant epilepsy performing force-matching tasks with a power grasp and a lateral pinch. Two participants also completed blocks in which they only imagined producing the force. Each block contained trials at three force targets (20, 30 and 40% of maximum voluntary contraction). Recordings were sampled at 2000 Hz and include the analog force signal, and were converted to BIDS from a Dryad deposit.

This derivative dataset repackages the authors' public Dryad release of phase-synchronization and detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) results computed from resting-state SEEG (68 drug-resistant focal epilepsy patients) and MEG (52 healthy subjects, 192 sessions). It includes per-patient complex phase-locking value matrices, DFA exponents, and contact masks, along with group-level MEG and simulated hierarchical Kuramoto model data. The data support the finding that brain criticality predicts individual levels of inter-areal synchronization. Raw recordings are not included.

High-density (256-channel) electrocorticography recorded at UCSF from patients undergoing clinical treatment for epilepsy while they read aloud consonant-vowel syllables from a list. The dataset comprises 31 recording blocks across four subject codes, with hand-marked annotations of syllable identity, onset, consonant-vowel transition and offset, plus rest baseline periods and anatomical electrode labels. It supports study of the functional organization of human ventral sensorimotor cortex during speech articulation and is organized as iEEG-BIDS with source NWB files retained unchanged.

Processed resting-state stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) recordings from 79 patients with drug-resistant epilepsy evaluated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Each patient contributed a five-minute awake, eyes-closed interictal recording, stored as filtered bipolar-montage signals with Desikan-Killiany region labels and region-level seizure onset zone (SOZ) annotations. The data accompany a deep learning study that classifies SOZ versus non-SOZ brain regions from brief interictal recordings.

This dataset contains epidural electrocorticography (ECoG) recordings from a single participant with incomplete tetraplegia, implanted with the WIMAGINE wireless chronic implant over left primary motor and sensory cortex. The participant executed or imagined right-arm reaching and wrist-extension movements, either singly or simultaneously (one executed, one imagined). The release is a derivative, comprising 1-250 Hz band-pass filtered signals from 32 channels across eight sessions, with trial events and M1/S1 electrode labels. It supports study of how motor imagination and execution are decoupled in orthogonal neural representations.
