The effects of sham hypnosis techniques
EEG ZarrEEG recordings from 52 participants (39 female) who took part in a 2x2 balanced placebo study of hypnosis. Each participant received conventional and unconventional (placebo) hypnotic inductions, each framed either as hypnosis or as a control relaxation technique. Data were recorded with a 64-channel EasyCap system and include pre- and post-hypnosis closed-eyes resting baselines. The dataset supports investigation of how framing affects hypnotic depth and its electrophysiological correlates.
