EEG recordings from older adults during eyes-open and eyes-closed resting state and during passive and active auditory oddball tasks. Each participant was recorded under a control condition and an arousal condition induced by the threat of unpredictable shock. The data come from the HeartBEAM study and support research on locus coeruleus-noradrenaline system activity and arousal in aging.

This dataset contains synchronized EEG, ECG and pupil recordings from 36 young and 39 older adults performing auditory cued reaction time tasks, plus a passive listening condition. The active tasks were a cued simple reaction time task and a cued go/no-go task, and they allow investigation of age-related differences in cortical, autonomic and pupillary responses during anticipation and perceptual decision-making.

Open-access resting-state EEG recordings from 21 neurotypical undergraduate students at the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil, collected before and after different study methods. Participants were randomly assigned to an active learning group (retrieval practice with feedback), a passive learning group (review of lecture notes), or a control group with no review. The dataset supports research in cognitive neuroscience, educational neuroscience, and the neural correlates of learning and memory.

An open multimodal dataset combining intracranial EEG (electrocorticography and sEEG) and fMRI recorded during naturalistic stimulation with a short audiovisual film. Recordings were collected from patients at UMC Utrecht, and the dataset supports research on brain responses to naturalistic audiovisual input and on multimodal comparison of iEEG and fMRI signals.

This dataset contains 64-channel EEG recordings and behavioural ratings from participants who read and evaluated 210 short English-language texts: 70 Haiku, 70 Senryu, and 70 non-poetic control texts. Each text was rated on aesthetic appeal, vivid imagery, being moved, originality, and creativity. This first of two BIDS datasets includes 47 participants whose recordings passed technical validation. Psychometric questionnaire data and resting-state EEG are also provided.

EEG dataset recorded while participants received laser-evoked pain stimuli at fixed intensities (3/3.5 J for low pain and 3.5/4 J for high pain). Each participant completed three blocks of ten stimuli, with high and low pain intensities evenly distributed within each block. After each stimulus, participants rated pain intensity on a 0-10 scale.

EEG recordings from 20 participants performing an internal attention task with eyes closed. Participants followed automated verbal instructions to relax, get ready, and mentally concentrate on a target for roughly 15-second periods. The sequence of relax, get-ready, and concentrate phases was repeated 20 times per participant.

EEG recordings from twenty healthy right-handed adults exposed to tendon vibration of the left elbow, designed to separate the percept of illusory movement from plain vibratory sensation. Sixteen sensorimotor electrodes were recorded while biceps and triceps tendons were vibrated at 90/50 Hz (illusion of elbow extension) or both at 70 Hz (control, no illusion). Each participant completed three blocks of 72 randomized three-second stimulations.

Preprocessed 64-channel EEG recordings from 6 healthy participants performing imagined speech of three short words (out, in, up), cued by auditory and visual stimuli. The dataset contains 1800 trials of a single session, analyzed in the source study with Riemannian manifold covariance features and relevance vector machines for brain-computer interface applications. It is re-hosted in BIDS format from the MOABB benchmark collection.

This dataset contains EEG recordings from a study testing whether theta transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) improves working memory. Participants received either 20 minutes of verum or sham stimulation (1 mA, 6 Hz, Fpz-CPz) and then performed working memory tasks requiring mental manipulation or simple retention of items. Resting-state EEG with eyes closed and eyes open was also recorded before the task.
