7-day motor imagery BCI EEG dataset from Zhou et al 2021

EEG Zarr

A longitudinal motor imagery brain-computer interface EEG dataset in which 20 healthy participants each completed seven sessions on separate days without feedback training. Four classes were recorded (left hand, right hand, both feet, rest) with a 41-channel Neuroscan system at 500 Hz, yielding 33,600 trials. The dataset supports research on the stability of motor imagery decoding across days and subjects.

Visual Occlusions with Treadmill Walking Speeds EEG

EEG Zarr

Mobile EEG dataset from 15 healthy young adults who stood still and walked on a treadmill at 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, and 1.6 m/s while viewing a static projected scene through liquid crystal lenses that alternated between transparent and opaque states. The study examines how electrocortical responses to intermittent visual occlusions, in particular alpha synchronization, change with gait speed. It includes 120-channel scalp EEG, noise electrodes, neck EMG, insole ground reaction forces, and lower-back IMU data.

Yang et al. 2025 — A multi-day and high-quality EEG dataset for motor imagery brain-computer interface

EEG Zarr

A multi-day EEG dataset for motor imagery brain-computer interface (MI-BCI) research collected at Shanghai University (WBCIC-SHU). It contains recordings from 51 healthy, BCI-naive participants who performed left- and right-hand motor imagery over three sessions on different days. A subset of 11 participants also performed a three-class paradigm that adds foot-hooking imagery. Recordings were made with a 59-channel EEG system and the dataset is accompanied by benchmark classification results using CSP, FBCSP, EEGNet, deepConvNet and FBCNet.

Dataset of intracranial EEG, scalp EEG and beamforming sources from epilepsy patients performing a verbal working memory task

EEG iEEG Zarr

This dataset contains simultaneously recorded scalp EEG and intracranial EEG (depth electrodes) from fifteen epilepsy patients undergoing intracranial monitoring while performing a modified Sternberg verbal working memory task. Encoding, maintenance, and recall are temporally separated. It includes electrode MNI coordinates with anatomical labels, trial-level behavioral information, and LCMV beamforming-reconstructed virtual sensor data for several cortical regions. The data support studies of working memory, connectivity, and replay of memory items.

MOVING2024: Motor imagery / motor execution dataset from the MOVING study

EEG

A multi-modal dataset of 32-channel dry-electrode EEG recorded together with Virtual Glove hand-kinematic tracking during motor imagery and motor execution of three right-hand movements (open/close, wrist rotation, finger tapping). Eleven healthy participants completed a rest, motor imagery, motor execution sequence with eight repetitions of the triplet. This BIDS re-release was produced via MOABB from the published MOVING dataset.

A multi-modal neuroimaging dataset (XP1) with simultaneous 64-channel EEG and fMRI recorded while 10 participants performed right-hand kinaesthetic motor imagery with neurofeedback. Each participant completed motor localizer, pre- and post-training motor imagery runs, and three neurofeedback runs (EEG-only, fMRI-only, and bimodal EEG-fMRI). The release includes raw and preprocessed EEG, BOLD fMRI, anatomical data, and EEG and BOLD neurofeedback scores to support multi-modal data integration.

Checkerboard m-sequence-based c-VEP dataset from

EEG Zarr

An EEG dataset of code-modulated visual evoked potentials (c-VEP) elicited by checkerboard-pattern m-sequence stimuli, recorded from 16 healthy participants with 16 channels at 256 Hz. It was collected to evaluate how the spatial frequency of visual stimuli affects the performance and user experience of c-VEP-based brain-computer interfaces. Each stimulus condition is stored as a separate session, with three runs per session (two for training, one for testing). The data are distributed in BIDS format via MOABB.

Imagined Speech EEG database — Spanish vowels and commands (Pressel et al. 2016)

An open-access EEG database of imagined speech recorded from 15 healthy Spanish-speaking adults. Participants imagined 11 classes, comprising 5 Spanish vowels and 6 directional commands, while 6-channel EEG was recorded at 1024 Hz. Trials lasted 4 s with a 3 s imagery window, and the data were bandpass filtered (2-45 Hz). The dataset supports brain-computer interface and imagined speech classification research and is redistributed in BIDS format via the MOABB collection.
