This dataset contains 128-channel EEG recordings from healthy, neurotypical adults listening to naturalistic continuous speech, specifically segments of an audiobook version of "The Old Man and the Sea". It combines data from two earlier studies on cortical entrainment to speech and on semantic processing. It includes the audio stimuli and forced-aligned word and phoneme timing files, supporting research on speech and language processing.

This dataset contains consumer-grade 14-channel EEG (EMOTIV EPOC X) recorded from 30 sessions while participants completed eyes-open and eyes-closed baselines and listened to about 17 s of two sonic-seasoning soundscapes (jungle and deconstruct). Liking ratings and baseline-state survey items are provided in participants.tsv, with the stimulus audio and the manufacturer's contact and EEG quality signals. An EEGLAB-ready processed version of the two soundscape conditions is included as a derivative.
