This dataset contains functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) recordings collected to quantify how hair and skin characteristics affect fNIRS signal quality. It was collected to support more inclusive fNIRS research and device design. The data are organized in BIDS format and mirrored from OpenNeuro.
A longitudinal MEG dataset investigating brain activity during early skill learning, overnight consolidation, and longer-term retention in 31 healthy right-handed adults. Participants performed a sequential finger tapping task with the non-dominant left hand across up to three MEG sessions (initial training, about 24 hours later, and about 30 days later), with resting-state scans before and after practice. Anatomical MRI, behavioral responses, eye tracking and pupillometry, and forearm EMG were also recorded and synchronized with MEG.
Open-access resting-state EEG recordings from 21 neurotypical undergraduate students at the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil, collected before and after different study methods. Participants were randomly assigned to an active learning group (retrieval practice with feedback), a passive learning group (review of lecture notes), or a control group with no review. The dataset supports research in cognitive neuroscience, educational neuroscience, and the neural correlates of learning and memory.
Stereo-EEG recordings from six patients with medically refractory epilepsy performing a scene recognition memory task with concurrent EyeLink eye tracking. The dataset accompanies a study of how the human hippocampus rapidly coordinates effective learning, and is a lossless iEEG-BIDS re-packaging of the authors' public Zenodo release. It includes electrode MNI coordinates, behavioural arrays, eye-tracking files and the authors' analysis code in sourcedata.
This dataset contains behavioral events and intracranial electrophysiological (iEEG) recordings from a repeated-item free recall task. Participants studied visually presented word lists, each containing 27 encoding events drawn from 12 unique words repeated one, two, or three times. After a 7-second delay they freely recalled the words in any order. Data were collected at clinical sites in collaboration with the Computational Memory Lab at the University of Pennsylvania.
EEG recordings from twenty-nine participants who listened to song melodies and responded as soon as a song felt familiar. Participants then tried to identify the song (title, artist, or lyrics) and chose the title from a four-option multiple choice display, receiving visual feedback on correctness. The dataset includes synchronized audio reconstructions of what each participant heard, supporting research on music familiarity and recognition.
EEG recordings from 25 college-aged participants performing a probabilistic reinforcement learning task with affective feedback. Data were collected around 2018 in the CRCL at the University of New Mexico to examine how the Reward Positivity is influenced by affective liking of feedback. Additional scripts are included to clarify stimulus triggers and support secondary analyses.
