High-Density Diffuse Optical Tomography Audiovisual Movie Viewing Dataset
This dataset contains high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) recordings from five adult participants completing functional localizer and naturalistic audiovisual movie viewing tasks. Data are stored in SNIRF format together with optode and landmark locations linked to subject-specific head models. Metadata describing the movie clips used as stimuli (20 clips from Finding Nemo, Frozen, Moana, Curious George and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood) are provided, although the commercial media files are not included. Note: participant A04 has 16 additional movie-labelled runs (ses-7 MOV002-MOV009 and ses-8 MOV001-MOV008) that are not part of the 40 A04 movie runs in the 2024 paper and are not listed in the run-to-clip table. They likely correspond to a control experiment described in the 2025 Neurophotonics paper (audio-only and silent-video clips), but the stimulus condition of each session has not been confirmed by the authors, so these runs should not be assumed to be audiovisual movie viewing. Known file issues: events.tsv onset and duration are given in samples (10.42 Hz) rather than seconds, and the SNIRF files fail to load with mne.io.read_raw_snirf because landmarkLabels is stored as a 2-D array.
