This dataset contains non-invasive electrophysiological recordings from the human cervical spinal cord in 30 healthy young adults, collected to test whether temporal expectation influences initial sensory processing in the spinal cord. Participants received electric median nerve stimulation at the left wrist after an auditory cue, with the cue-stimulus interval either fixed at 1100 ms or varied randomly between 100 and 2100 ms. Participants silently counted rare double-stimulus trials (80 ms ISI) and reported the count at the end of each block.

EEG recordings from 33 participants who each completed both a visual and an auditory surprise task, with task order counterbalanced. The dataset supports investigation of electrophysiological markers of surprise-induced failures of visual and auditory awareness. Data from participants excluded at various analysis stages are included up to the stage of processing they reached.

EEG recordings from three experiments investigating whether selective attention to natural speech modulates the auditory brainstem response and cortical responses. Experiments 1 and 2 used diotic and dichotic presentation of two competing audiobooks with attention directed to one narrator, while Experiment 3 used passive listening to audiobook stimuli from a previous study. Simultaneous cortical (32-channel active) and subcortical (bipolar passive, with eardrum electrodes in a subset of participants) recordings are provided in BIDS format.

EEG recordings from 24 healthy participants performing a multisensory (audio-visual) detection task. Participants detected targets embedded in simultaneous auditory and visual noise while selective attention varied. The dataset supports investigation of EEG spectral dynamics, including the spectral exponent, under changing attention and sensory statistics.

EEG recordings from 36 participants performing an orientation discrimination task in a visual tilt illusion paradigm. A central target grating, titrated to appear vertical on average, was surrounded by an annular grating tilted by ±30 degrees. The dataset supports analysis of prestimulus EEG correlates, including alpha oscillation power and phase, of increased or decreased tilt illusion strength.

EEG recordings from 54 community participants classified as light or heavy drinkers performing an affective-state reinforcement learning task involving alcohol imagery. The dataset supports investigation of reward-related neural responses, such as the reward positivity, in relation to drinking behavior. Data were collected between 2019 and 2021.

This dataset contains consumer-grade 14-channel EEG (EMOTIV EPOC X) recorded from 30 sessions while participants completed eyes-open and eyes-closed baselines and listened to about 17 s of two sonic-seasoning soundscapes (jungle and deconstruct). Liking ratings and baseline-state survey items are provided in participants.tsv, with the stimulus audio and the manufacturer's contact and EEG quality signals. An EEGLAB-ready processed version of the two soundscape conditions is included as a derivative.
